11/3/2023 0 Comments Kamen rider kuuga artthe fact that that's a possibility at all is hilarious. Also Shouchi has Kaijin Migraines and seems to fight as Agito in a fugue state? Does he even know he's the protagonist? He does have amnesia after all. It's also really apparent to me now that AIMs (from 01) is meant to be riffing on SAUL/the G3 team, I really like how G3 can't transform and has to suit up, and I think I'm gonna be endeared a lot to him because of how pathetic he is. The curse of the jobbing blue rider being because Inoue hates cops and finds them laughably ineffectual is so funny. Its also really funny to see a lot of early and rough around the edges inoue-isms and seeing what gets to be recurring themes throughout Heisei Rider as a whole. Real good OP, and i'm excited for the burning church scene next week □Įp 1 of Agito: LMFAO this show is so funny and it does NOT intend to be. The Helicopter fight felt like Moe throwing the drunken guy out meme but was overall really cool, I love the mystery and intrigue and genuine horror, even if its cheesy at times. Knowing that Kuuga revitalized the franchise while Agito set up a lot of the series' tropes and trappings going forward that Agito was originally going to be a Kuuga sequel but is sort of a spiritual successor the fact that its the same Tokyo PD despite everything about them being wildly different- the list goes on.įor ep 1 of Kuuga: HOLY SHIT this show's cool, its neat to see a Rider show and it not even debut the iconic form in the first episode! Seeing a spider kaijin first is fun and a classic showa rider trope, neat to see it here in a heisei show. My reasoning is understanding from being in fandom both how startlingly different the two shows are, and how inescapably linked too. Week 1: So for my New Year's Resolution I've decided (in part) to watch an episode of Kamen Rider Kuuga, an an episode of Kamen Rider Agito each week, until i'm done with both shows.
